Handsome Boys - July 6, 2009

After 2 more days of grooming Chewie, here is a picture of how he looks now. Isn't he handsome?

This is a pile of all of the fur that we pulled off of him (cup is included for size referencing). It was an impressive fur ball.

Jason and I had a nice 4th of July weekend. We went to a farmers' market Friday night and got some locally grown, organic ingredients for a salad that we wanted to try - new potatoes, arugula and shredded chicken. Jason kind of felt like a tree-hugging hippie, but it tasted good!

On Saturday, we met Mom and Kevin near Dayton to transfer Chewie to their possession for the week while we are in Atlanta. We picnicked at a State park for lunch and had a fun visit. Here is a picture of Clark at his first picnic. He had some cheese cubes, and a lot of peas! Clark loves to eat peas off of his tray and seems to like them nearly as well as Cheerios. He just shovels them in with both hands!

On Sunday I spent some of the day getting "deals" at CVS and Target, while Jason watched Tennis and Golf. Clark must have crawled about a mile, he was doing laps around the house. He must have be worn out at the end of the day, which might be why we had to start bedtime a half hour earlier than usual.

When I was little my brothers used to pull me around the kitchen on my baby blanket. I decided to introduce Clark to this game. He thought it was fun, but it made my back sore, no wonder that was a game where my brothers pulled me and not Mom or Dad! :)

Today and tomorrow I am busily trying to get us all ready to head to Atlanta to visit Andy, Ashley and the kids for the rest of the week. This entails packing, going to the grocery, cleaning the house, cooking up enough chicken for Jason to eat while we are there, finding a bathing suit (I thought I had one, but realized when I pulled mine out that it had been two years since I have worn a suit and they didn't fit anymore), and several other errands that need run before we take off! Phew, hope I can get it all done,
